Oscar Castillo Obituary
Oscar was known as "Chulo" or " Coqueto" to friends and family. He was a very hard-working man with a firm attitude. Oscar had a great sense of humor with a bit of a dark side. He enjoyed working with his hands as a mechanic and carpenter. Oscar also enjoyed cooking, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his sons: Lorenzo Chavez of Juarez, MX, Oscar Castillo Jr. and wife Elizabeth Alexander of Kermit, TX, and Christopher Castillo Gonzalez of Ft. Davis, TX; daughters: Maria Rocio Carrillo and husband Ricardo of Odessa, TX and Yadira Cantu and husband Michael of Jal, NM; sisters: Juanita Contreras of Hobbs, NM and Ramona Lara of Tempee, AZ; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents: Refugio and Manuela Castillo; brothers: Jesus Galindo and Domingo Leyva; and sisters: Librada Perez and Manuela Calderon.
A prayer service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 7 pm at Family Services Funeral Parlor in Kermit. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor, and condolences may be sent to the family at www.fs-fp.com.
