We are all so very sorry for this great loss. Mrs. Wong, you and Dr. Wong have always been so open and warm and made me feel like a part of your family all of these years. So very sorry for the passing of your father. While I have not met him in person, I have always seen such kindness and joy in his eyes in his photo's. I also see the silliness in the photos where he wears a black and then a blonde wig! I am sure he brought you such joy, love, kindness, and he'll be tremendously missed. I see how he loved his grandchildren - that love is again in his eyes in photos. Rosalie and family I am so sorry for your loss. Oscar was a true gentleman. An infectious laugh and a good friend to all. Two years ago I spent a fascinating few hours at Tim Horton's where Oscar share with me the incredible story of his life. His escape from China, his challenges with the recognition of his academic achievements, his travels, service on ships in Canada's north and our mutual dedication to the Conservative Party. We are all saddened and Nova Scotia has lost a great and true citizen.

I served on the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission and a few other entities with Oscar and enjoyed chatting with him from time to time over the years and exchanging occasional emails. The last Email I received from him arrived a few days before Christmas. It was a congratulatory one for my work on making progress on having Cornwallis's statue removed from a place of honour in the City.

He was a friend with vision and integrity, and always a big smile, he shall be missed!
