Mr. Madera was born on September 22, 2004, in Lufkin, Texas, to Jose Antonio Madera and Maria A. Olalde, and died Friday, January 20, 2023, in Diboll, Texas.
Osvaldo was a hard worker. He was loving, loyal, and honest. He was a good friend, son, brother, and was very thoughtful. He enjoyed working on mechanical projects. He enjoyed playing football during his middle school years. He was a jokester, but also brave, happy, and friendly.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Jose Antonio and Araceli Madera of Lufkin, TX; mother and stepfather, Maria Olalde Burgos and Jose Andres Lira of Lufkin, TX; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hector and Ashley Madera, Andy and Perla Lira, Richard and Jackeline Lira all of Lufkin, TX; brothers, Eddy Lira, Jeremy Madera, Jose Antonio Madera all of Lufkin, TX; sisters, Nancy Madera and Marlene Madera of Lufkin, TX; sister and brother-in-law Brenda Olalde and Pedro Rubio of Ore City, TX; sister, Maria Olalde of Ore City, TX; nieces and nephews, Bella Madera, Catalina Madera, Jose Antonio Madera Jr., Ryan Madera, Domitila Rubio, Jose Sanchez, Joel Sanchez, Dayana Rubio, Richard Lira Jr., Aubrey Lira, Rolando Lira, and Vanessa Lira; grandmother, Elodia Delfin Vera of Lufkin, TX; uncles and wives, Pascual and Epimania Madera, Salomon and Velia Madera, Romaldo and Alejandra Madera all of Lufkin, TX; aunts and husbands, Rosario and Maximino Vazquez, Jovita Olalde and Carlos Lopez all of Lufkin, TX; aunt and husband, Patricia and Enrique Olalde of Ore City, TX; uncle, Cristobal Olalde of Guanajuato, Mexico; aunt and husband, Lucia Olalde and Baltazar Sanchez of Guanajuato, Mexico; and uncle and wife, Lazaro and Julia Olalde.
Pallbearers will be Hector Madera, Jose Madera Jr., Nancy Madera, Hector Madera, Mario Madera, Leonardo Olalde, Eric Zamarippa, Ivan Olalde.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jose Andres Lira.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2023, with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Shafer Funeral Home.
