I did not know the Grahams, but know some of the Wards. my Dad and his family (the Cooks) lived in Walnut hill, and I heard the same things about growing up there. Watermelon, cotton, Uphill/downhill stuff. I was born in Pensacola in 1937 and picked cotton one summer at my grandma's--prices were up--I got paid 10 cents.
I know you will miss him!
