Owen SALLENBACK

I was so sad to hear the news of our friend, Owen going home to the Lord so young. Owen and Val, with their boys have been a part of my family's lives for many years. There are many memories to share, but the most vivid ones for me are Owen picking raspberries at Canim with the bucket hanging around his neck then taking them to Val who would make wonderful treats with them. Owen always made sure all the gardens got watered at least twice a day, one of the many ways he showed his love for his Precious Honey. The other memory is the bear hug he would give each of us as we arrived. Loved his laugh, his nick names for the boys and Val; his family meant everything to him and they all knew how much he loved them. Looking forward to the day we see you again, Owen

Valerie & family I was so sorry to hear about Owen, my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I have many wonderful memories of you both,especially the time you both came into my office at Coast Cap Savings in Ocean Park and brought me my 1st Starbuck coffee, a Latte Macchiatto. In the short time since we met at Canim Lake, we always enjoyed your warm smile and welcoming spirit. Immediately we had a wonderful connection & friendship.
