On behalf of the Old Colony Power Squadron, I'd like to offer our condolences to Owen's family and friends. Owen was a member of our squadron since 1966 and had the grade of Advance Pilot. His name will be entered in our "Last Horizons".

Owen was one of the kindest people we have ever known. He is unreplaceable and will be greatly missed.

My fondest memories of Owen were the Christmas dinners at his cabin with as many as 20 people around the dinner table. He would cleverly wrap and pass out carefully selected gifts to each and every one of his guests. You will be missed Captain.

If more people were half as thoughtful as Owen, the world would be a much better place in which to live. For the rest of my years when I sail into Merchant's Row passed McGlathery Island, I will be thinking of Capt. Owen Teevan.

Owen: A true gentleman and a great friend.

Even though I have been retired from Personnel for eight years Owen is one person I would never forget. He always had a smile and kind word, nothing was ever too much to ask. He was the perfect gentleman. To his family Bill and I send our deepest sympathy and we will keep you all in our prayers.

I remember Owen from Jack Symons' Harbor Villa Boatyard in Weymouth. I remember Owen as among the kindest and most sensitive men I have ever met, as well as an expert seaman.
I remember him for his wisdom, his energy, and his wry wit.
Owen dipped all his tool handles in pink paint, a truly hideous color. When I asked him about it, he told me he had never lost a single tool at the boatyard, in all the years he had loaned them out.
May he find peace and smooth sailing forever in heaven.

Owen was the personification of generosity and kindness. Farewell to an intrepid sailor and consummate gentleman.

Owen was never too busy that he could not lend a helping hand. He will be missed by family and friends.

We used to laugh when we began our audit claim at GM that we would be dead by the time it was settled. Well, you beat me to heaven so please get it settled. Each time I visit the green isle I think of you and the happy times we had discussing our mutual homeland.

Thank you, Owen, for your many kindnesses and generosity to me and to so many others. I'll remember the "non" ski trips and Spinnaker excursions with you fondly -- especially your masterful navigation through the wake of the QE2 -- that was some ride! :) My condolences to your family and friends.
