Paige Davison Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 2, 2009.
DAVISON, Paige Alyssa, 17, of St. Petersburg, loving daughter, sister, and friend, passed away after a boating accident on Friday, October 2, 2009. She was a vibrant and beautiful teenage girl with a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that would brighten your day. She was the type of person who knew no enemies and who everyone considered as a friend. She held her family and friends in high regard as being the cornerstones of who she was. With the kindest of hearts, Paige went through life with an easy going attitude and compassion for those around her. She was the true essence of "good" personified. Paige was raised in a household with strong family values and she carried that with her in everything she did. As a kid, she participated in the Azalea Bulldogs cheerleading program, which was fitting for her bubbly personality. She was a St. Petersburg High School senior working hard in hopes of receiving a Bright Futures Scholarship to go off to college. She was also a 4-year member of the varsity swim team there. She loved being a part of the team and competing in the water. She was also a lifeguard and WSI certified swimming instructor during the summer at Northwest pool. Water was one of the things that defined Paige. She loved being in and on the water. Some of her favorite pastimes were to be out boating, fishing, snorkeling, and enjoying the beach. She embraced life with a quiet passion that was apparent in everything she did. She did not try to be anyone but herself and this made her an extraordinary and rare young woman. She will always be remembered and deeply loved by her parents, Jeffrey and Jill Davison, brothers, Bradley and Gregory Davison, and sister, Valerie Davison. She is also survived by 2 great-grandmothers, Florence "Nana" Douglas and Alice "Nan" Patterson; grandparents, E. Marchant & Bobbie J. Fowler, grandmother, Jean M. Press, and many aunts and uncles including Mark Fowler, Sean Fowler, Jody and Glen Tutt, John and Lisa Phelps, Charles and Lisa Phelps, Chris and Kim Phelps, Michael and Elizabeth McWilliams, William and Joanne Davison, and Daniel and Patricia Nardozzi. Also, she is survived by many cousins and even more friends. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Thursday Oct. 8, at the Cathedral of St. Jude. A Prayer Service will take place at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 PM Friday Oct. 9, at the Cathedral of St. Jude.
