Paige Greco Obituary
Born February 19, 1997, in Melbourne, Victoria, Greco confronted right-sided hemiplegic cerebral palsy from birth. She originally pursued para-athletics before transitioning to cycling in 2017 and moving to Adelaide to train.
Competing as a C3 cyclist-the classification indicates that she had impairments in one or two limbs-Greco rapidly rose to the international stage. In 2019 she claimed gold at the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Apeldoorn in both the women's 3 km Pursuit and the 500 m Time Trial. At the delayed 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, held in 2021, she won gold in the women's 3000 m Individual Pursuit-Australia's first gold of those Games-setting a new world-record time in the final. She also earned bronze medals in the road race trial and road time trial at the same Games.
In subsequent years, Greco continued to perform at a high level, claiming multiple World Championship podiums and remaining a fixture of Australia's para-cycling team.
Off the bike, Greco was widely praised for her warmth, humility and positive spirit. AusCycling CEO Marne Fechner reflected, "Paige was an extraordinary athlete who achieved outstanding accomplishments at the highest levels of our sport. Much more than that, she touched the lives of everyone around her with her positive spirit and courageous outlook."
Greco was recognized formally for her contribution: in 2022 she received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to sport.
She is remembered for lifting others, embracing community and performing with humility. Through her medals, records, and example, Greco helped elevate Australian para-cycling and inspired the next generation of athletes.

We will miss Paige´s presence and her beautiful smile. She had many contributions to her community, especially for woman in the sport world. Paige Greco was a para-cycling with many medals records in the Oder of Australia (OAM) for service to sport. May the love and the special memory you shared with her show just how much your life was touched by her. Words could hardly express the sorrow felt for the loss of Paige Greco. The pain of losing someone is something we never get use to but at Isaiah 65:17, 22-24 our Heavenly Father holds out a grand promise. May your faith in His promise strengthen you as you look forward to its fulfillment. May Almighty God in the Heavens comfort your hearts with peace and loving kindness as you cope with this precious loss in your lives.

Dear Greco Family
How devastating it is to lose our beautiful Paige.
She and I met at Sacre Coeur many years ago.
We learnt together through those years with Paige successfully handling the demands of school and me understanding the beauty, compassion, sincerity and dedication of the child I had the greatest opportunity to encourage and nurture.
Natalie, I'm so sorry this has happened to your beautiful family.
Please know I have always held Paige in a special place in my heart and I always will.

My condolences and prayers to Paige's family. Paige is healed in Heaven. The Lord is Our Shepherd. I know her family will miss Paige. But Heaven is better. My daughter is in Heaven. My daughter had seizures and a lot of health concerns. My daughter was 25. My daughter is healed in Heaven. Heaven is better for my daughter. There is no more pain in Heaven.
