Palma Berenato Obituary
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., Palma was the beloved daughter of James Berenato and Mary (Palmisano) Berenato. Both James and Mary immigrated from Italy.
Palma was one of ten children. She is survived by her brother Matthew.
Palma had deep love for her family and became the matriarch and lovingly cared for and offered support to many of her siblings.
During WWII, Palma worked at Cramp Shipbuilding (later purchased by American Ship & Commerce Corp) helping build the war ships. After the war she worked for United Engineers until her retirement.
She was always caring and loving to her many nieces and nephews, never forgetting a birthday or special occasion. She was lovingly referred to as 'Auntie Pam'.
Palma enjoyed many vacations and adventures with her cousin and best friend Anna Thackray . Anna's family became an important and much loved part of Palma's life.
Palma is deeply missed by her family and friends and will always be remembered for her quick wit, humor and loving care.
On the anniversary of her death we all acknowledge our great 'Blessing' for having her in our lives.
