Pamela C. Ireland

Pamela C. Ireland, 69, of rural Girard, Kansas died at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Ireland was born May 10, 1948 at nenana, Alaska the daughter of Virgil and Jenlyn Cox Patterson.
Pamela was a retired registered nurse who had been a resident of rural Girard since 1992.
She was raised in Alaska and attended Nenana, Alaska schools.
She had lived in Seattle, Washington, Silver City, New Mexico and Emporia prior to moving to rural Girard.
She attended Newman School of Nursing in Emporia, Kansas and later attended Ottawa University where she received a bachelor's degree of nursing.
She was director of the home health department at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.
She married Charles L. Ireland Jr. on February 17, 1968 at Emporia, Kansas. Mr. Ireland survives at the home.
She was a member of the Family Life Assembly of God Church in Pittsburg, had been president of TOPS and had also served as president of the Kansas Home Health Association from 2007 to 2009.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Michelle Ireland of Overland Park, Kansas, two sons, Michael Ireland and his wife Jennifer of Ft. Scott, Kansas and Merick Ireland of the home. A sister, Edith Burchfield of Pinetop, Arizona, two brothers, Virgil Patterson of Emporia and Eric Patterson of Silver City, New Mexico, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Ireland has been cremated according to her wishes.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Family Life Assembly of God Church, 1234 N. Rouse in Pittsburg, Kansas with Pastor Mark Lehman officiating.
Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at the Prairie Grove Cemetery near Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.
The family suggests memorials to the Family Life Assembly of God Church at Pittsburg.
