Pammy Johnson, 63, of Fort Madison, died at 7:24 pm Monday, August 27, 2012, at her home. Born July 24, 1949, in Fairfield, IA, she was the daughter of Lyle E. and Mary Ruth Carlson Olson. She retired from Dupont. She was a 1967 graduate of Burlington High School. She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed bowling, and playing softball, darts, and pool. She took care of two little girls, Jazzy and Rae (her two favorite people). She did more for others than herself. Survivors include two brothers, Roger E. (Stephanie) Olson and Douglas L. (Kathy) Olson, both of Burlington; two sisters, Karen S. (Michael) Weaver of Burlington, and Patricia K. Pugh of North Dakota; extended family, Pitt (Jo) Johnson, Tasha Penrod, Mary Luedtke, Jazzy and Rae; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Barbara Essary, and her grandparents. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Thielen Funeral Home. The funeral service for Pammy will be 10:30 AM Friday, August 31, 2012, at Thielen Funeral Home with Life Celebrant Marti Burgett officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Thielen Funeral Home following the service. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral. A memorial has been established for Lee County Health Department Hospice.
