Pamela passed away peacefully at home in Mesa, Ariz. She was a resident of Simi Valley for over 30 years and always called it "home." Pam asked for us to remember her as "a mom who loved her son" and to remember the "laughter and the good times." We honor and celebrate Pam as a wonderful friend, a true friend, and a beautiful mom. She had a pure heart.
Pam always saw goodness in people, this was her gift. She was a once in a lifetime kind of friend. Every relationship she had was truly unique. She made a difference in every life she touched. We will miss her sense of humor and her generosity of spirit.
Pamela was preceded in death by her son Joshua Wayne Stephens; her first husband, Wayne Stephens, and her later husband Robert McGregor, her mother Norma Jean Porter, and her brother Bobby Porter. She is survived by her father Robert Porter and stepmother Ana Porter; her grandson Maddox Sloan, and her sister Brenda Porter, as well as nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Services for Pamela will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 12 p.m.: The United Methodist Church Simi Valley, 2394 Erringer Rd Simi Valley, Calif. 93065 Burial immediately following the service at: Assumption Cemetery, 1380 Fitzgerald Rd Simi Valley, Calif. 93065

You taught me so many things about the bigger pictures in life--love, family, joy, sorrow, friendship, and what it means to be human. I will miss our intimate talks about all these things... The many hours we spoke on a weekly basis. Our friendship that lasted over thirty years...You were so loved, Pam. I will miss you more than words could ever say...

My prayers for Pam and her remaining family. I met her many years ago while bowling on Saturdays and it was Kathy Ross who was our common thread. I have oftened wondered about both of them. I know now she is safe in the house of the Lord.
