Pamela M. Orr "Granny" Racine- Pamela M. Orr, 68, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Pam was born in Racine on September 18, 1942. She was a lifelong resident of Racine. Pam married Gerry W. Orr. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2007. She was employed at Nelson's Variety Store, Petro Highlands and most recently Spokes. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she also attended Bible study. She was a junior member of the Racine Yacht when she a teenager. Pam served as a chaperone for the Racine Lighthouse Brigade and was a diehard Vikings fan. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and dancing. Pam was a people person and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Dickies and Country Pump. Most importantly Pam loved being with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Robert (Jennifer) Polenski and Kelli (Joe Jensen) Paulich; grandchildren, Robert, Krystal, Nicole, Brooke, Brittany, Keegan, and Grace; great grandchildren, Samuel, Rachel, Athena and Alexis; twin sister, Patricia (Jim Johnson) Hallman; brother, Mark (Mimi) Mayer; step daughters, Karen (James ) Mitchell and Merry Beth (Ben) Vardeh; her brother in law, Billy Orr and her cat, Mittens. Pam is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Irma Ciocanea and step son Gerry Orr, Jr. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Holly Anderle officiating. Inurnment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
