I had her for English while in HS (I graduated in '92). She was tough but caring. You could see she loved her job and her students. She was one of my favorite teachers. She will be missed.

Pam was one of the first teachers I met when I began working at SF. She was instrumental in showing me how to be firm and fair with students. I'll never forget her outsized personality and how one second she could make young men much taller than she cower from her "wrath" and in another second make them smile with joy. She was a great conversationalist and an important influence on my teaching career. We will miss you, Pam.

This hurts my heart to hear. I had her for 9th English and loved her. She was always nice to me. (Even when I read more chapters than we were told to.) Romeo and Juliet wouldn't be the same if we hadn't read it for her class. I think she left a better impression on a lot of students than they expected before getting to her class. I think most of us feared her before we got to know her-but she really was a softy as long as you didn't act up in her class and did your work. May she rest in piece.

Pam was a good teacher and a great person....she wasn't afraid to tackle any thing she believed in--a true daughter of the 60's.....when I had her as a teacher she was Ms. Podboy !......I am sure she will be missed by many that know her....I haven't seen her since the Lion's Den days .......but always loved her for being so strong...

Pam was a tough english teacher, but it was an act. Some students were afraid of her, but MANY LOVED HER. I would correct the students and say, "She is a teddy bear." She was always so kind to me. R.I.P. dear Pam.
