DANAKAS-On Sunday, October 2, 2005 PANAGIOTIS PETER DANAKAS, late of Regina, SK. passed away at the age of 69 years. Peter was born in Molai Lakonias, Greece in 1936 and immigrated to Canada in 1957. He was predeceased by his father John and his mother Angeliki. Peter is survived by his wife Voula; son John; daughter Angie (John) Argyrides; granddaughter Panayiota; daughter Mia (Jason) Weinkauf, granddaughters Christiana and Athanasia; brother Gus (Mary) Danakas; nephews Peter and John; sister Helen (Charles) King; nephew Peter and niece Christina. Peter was a devoted father and grandfather. He was one of the best leaders in the hospitality industry and food services. Peter vigorously contributed for the elevation of the people in the industry and the industry itself. Peter's contributions to the Canadian Tapestry are many and awarded, but most of all, he has been a great promoter and leader to his native country, his native communities and it's people throughout Canada. Peter has been a tireless promoter and supporter to the city of Regina, the province of Saskatchewan and it's people. He was a true pioneer. Peter will be missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, family, relatives, friends and all those whom his generosity has touched in the path of his life across Canada. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 7:30 PM in Saint Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, 3000 Argyle Road, Regina, SK. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 2:00 PM in Saint Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, with Rev. Spyridon Vandoros officiating. Interment will follow at Regina Memorial Gardens. Flowers most gratefully declined, however donations may be made to the Cosmopolitan Learning Centre, Box 1517, Regina, SK S4P 3C2.

My dearest Aunt Voula, cousins and family. I cannot express the sadness I am feeling as I write this. I just saw this today, how I wish I would have seen it sooner. My sincer condelences on Uncle's passing. I love you so much and I am thinking of you.

I wish I would have been there for you Aunt Voula as you were for me when we lost Mom. I love you and I am praying for you. He was a great man who loved you, his children and grandchildren more than anything. I am proud to call him my Uncle.
