Paraska "Polly" Dziadyk

PARASKA "Polly " DZIADYK Polly Dziadyk passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27th, 2009 at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her two loving granddaughters, Daylene (Byron) Wright and Shawna (Joe Faria) Williams; great grandson, Blake Williams; and many nieces and nephews including her favorites, Sonia, Lillian, Adeline and John, to whom she was "Auntie Pearl ". She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel; her parents, Nicholas and Anna Romanchych; her sisters, Anne, Olga and Katie; her brothers, Alex and John and by her only child, her daughter, Lorraine Renkas. Polly was born on October 31st, 1918 in the St. Julien District of Saskatchewan, where she was then raised on the family farm. After she was married to Sam, they lived in Tarnopol, where they operated the General Store and Post Office. Her granddaughters, Daylene and Shawna, have many fond memories of staying with their beloved Baba and Dido, playing in the general store, pretending to stamp mail, getting special candy treats, and arguing over who would get to sleep with Baba. After Sam passed away, Polly moved to Saskatoon where she worked at the Army and Navy Dept Store until retiring at age 71. Baba was hardworking and loyal, made the best perogies ever, and had a kind and caring heart. She will be greatly missed. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Sunnyside Adventist Care Home, for all the kindness and care they have shown to Baba and her family.
