CHERAW, SC — Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Brock Gaddy, age 64, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 at her home

Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015 at Brock's Mill Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Gaddy was born Feb. 11, 1951 in Bennettsville, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Perry Funderburk Brock and Vera Johnson Brock. She was a graduate of Cheraw High School and Florence-Darlington TEC. Pat was a former secretary with Cotton Growers and was former assistant manager with Anson Warehouse & Storage. She was a former bank teller and was a retired medical records clerk with Chesterfield General Hospital.

Mrs. Gaddy was a faithful member of Brock's Mill Baptist Church, where she had served as VBS Director, Sunday school teacher, and choir member. She also served as church historian, member of the cemetery committee, and former WMU Director.

Mrs. Gaddy was a Girl Scout Leader for many years, a member of the Cheraw Band Booster Club, and band parent for six years. Pat enjoyed cooking, fishing, and gardening with Richard.

In addition to her parents, Pat was also preceded in death by her brothers, Claudius T. and James Edward Brock; a sister, Joyce Brock Watts; and by a niece, Kim Ratliff Quick.

She is survived by her husband, Richard "Ping" A. Gaddy of the home; one daughter, Crystal Elaine Gaddy of Wallace, South Carolina; two sisters, Bobby B. (John) Ostigny and Bessie B. (Gratton) Matthews both of Cheraw, South Carolina; nieces and nephews, including special nephews Joey (Sheila) Crowley and Clay P. Ostigny; special cousin, Mary K. Foxworth of Cheraw, South Carolina; and special pet, "Buddy."

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Chesterfield County, P.O. Box 293, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
