Cindy, Brad, Paige, and Scott--I enjoyed getting to know your mom while teaching. She had a sense of humor with also a serious side and was a very caring person. May you find comfort in knowing that the memories will forever live on in your hearts and be shared with family and friends.

Brad, Paige, Cindy and Scott - I was sorry to learn of Pat's declining health during a visit with relatives in Aberdeen last summer. May you find comfort that she is now at peace.
My mother was also a member of the Visiting Circle and looked forward to her time with those fine ladies. To me, each of you are a wonderful representation of your parents. Our interactions over the years were so enjoyable and I could always count on you. May your memories be as positive as mine.

Dear Cindy and family,
I had the distinct pleasure to work with Pat for 11 years and want you to know how much she did to help manage and make all staff and students a part of this great school. She was part of the culture that helped us to recognize that all children could succeed and she was instrumental in creating our motto, "Lincoln School where everybody is somebody". Pat looked out for everybody and she had a special place in her heart for children who needed extra care and help in order succeed.
Pat had a great sense of humor and she was especially happy with our annual Halloween traditions. One year we had a contest to judge the weight of the pumpkin and she and I convinced the cooks to make cookies from the 225 pound pumpkin. She also reminded me to say Rabbit Rabbit the first day of every month to bring about good luck.
I am happy I got to visit with Pat one more time just before Christmas as we talked about our days together at Lincoln school. She will be missed by all of us and know that our thoughts and prayers go with you. I am so sorry I cannot attend her funeral since we are wintering in AZ.

Sending our love and prayers to Pat's family. She was such a delightful lady and we enjoyed getting to know her through our membership at Our Savior and also as a member of the Visiting Circle. She loved hosting our circle on her patio each summer for a picnic. Cindy, I'm sure you realize how much she depended on you. I know there will be a void in your life now, but know that her memory lives on with her many friends and family.

Dear Cindy and family,
My wife, Christine Lawler had the pleasure of working with Pat for many years at Lincoln. I can tell you that Christie loved Pat Mehlaff as we all did. Christie has had a vascular stroke, followed by brain surgery. She is living at the Golden Ridge Snior Care Center in Lead. She will be extremely sad to hear of Pat's passing. Pat was also so good to our daughter, Lisa. The world would be abetter place if there were more Pat Mehlaffs.
May god Bless,
Jim Lawler
