I met Pat when he walked into a writers conference being held by Jerry Jenkins. He was casual and enthusiastic about his new book. And exuberant about his love of the Lord Jesus Christ. I gave him a copy of my first book that had just been published. He took it home and called me a week later and told me he wanted to endorse that book, and I was honored to have him do so. A fine man. No doubt that he is with The Lord Jesus now. Rest in Peace, my friend and mentor. CJ Thomas

Pat and I worked for the Magic...I, as a Receptionist at their Winter Park office...and Pat asked me to become his 'go-to' typist for his huge library of notes for his many books, speeches and inspiration. For 27-1/2-years, we worked together, until last year, when my vision became impaired, and I was unable to see, to type. He was a wonder to behold, and his accomplishments were extraordinary. It was an honor to be associated with him, to personally know his family (at least, the first four-children). I remember Karen bringing me some of her home-made cookies, at work, and working closely with Ruth on getting the typing done, in a timely manner. Pat's concern for my loss of partial vision was typical of him: genuine and sincere. My deepest condolences to his entire family. He will be missed. Fran Thomas

I had the honor and privilege to meet Pat Williams at the NBA meetings at the Arizona Biltmore way back when. He created innovative marketing concepts for the Chicago Bulls and later went on to successful General Manager roles in Philadelphia, Atlanta and Orlando. But one of his greatest contributions in life was adopting 14 chuldren to go along with his own.
My sincere condolences to his family.
