Pat was a great guy with a big heart. He used to let me bring my older two sons to the batting cage, and bat for free, until a team would come to bat. I was a single mom then, and I was very thankful for his kindness, and interest in my son's future playing the game. The angels have called him home. RIP Pat, with your wife, Sharon.

Pat was a consummate Professional both on and off the field. I played against Pat while he was in Indy in 74 and 75. He was a strong competitor with a very good fastball and slider, his control was good but he had just the right amount of wildness. I often tipped my hat to him when he got the best of me on the field and he did'nt mind doing the same to a competitor.
He seemed to be a good teammate and in this particular sad time I think about his skill, poise and love of the game of baseball. May the peace that passeth all understanding be with his family, teammates and fans..the game lost a good one. Go in Peace!

Played on the same high school team with Zach. I was the catcher for batting practice many times when he would pitch during practice. Man did his fast ball make my hand hurt. He was a friend to most everyone he met and had his moments as a practical joker. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
