I just wanted to express my condolences to Patrice's family. Although you may not know me, I used to work with Patrice at her first job at a law firm just out of high school. She was such a beautiful person. Her laughter and personality always brightened my day. I have always thought of Patrice through the years, but didn't know how to contact her. I just ran into a mutual friend last night and was told of Patrice's passing. I was devastated. She will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

She will be with you in spirit and move you when you least expect it (ala, the being their for you during the car accident mentioned below). You are a great family!

Hi girls and jim (again),
It's your old neighbor, lisa. Just stopping by to say hello and that you have all been in my prayers. I come on here everyday to see what is written. It turns out the guidance counselor that works at my school also knew patrice. She said her daughter played ball with 1 of you girls. Of course she had nothing but nice things to say about your whole family. Anyway, hang in there. I commend you all for being so strong! You are all amazing! Take care!

Hey Trice,
Just wanted to let you know that I have someone walking for you in the Mom's Day Breast Cancer Walk. She will be wearing a t-shirt with your name on the back of it. I purchased it for a donation to the Susan G.Komen Cancer fund in your memory and honor. I hope you can see her from up above - oh by the way her name is Karen too. Keep her safe as she completes this walk for you. I want to go and visit the girls and Jimmy but don't know how to reach out after so long. Hey Aunt Patrice!
How is heaven? I know your looking down at us and doing little "jokes" to make our day better. (espically the one at the cemetary where Uncle Jimmy's umbrella went inside out.) I really miss you and you know that you are missed. But everyone is happy that you are in no pain and your somewhere better. I was upset that i did not get say good bye. All of the memories we all had as a family was great; the mountains, aunt joannes parties, our parties, and many more. Your always on my mind, whenever i think of you i think of: hey laur how ya doin? well im in school right now and if my teacher sees this he will probalaby be angry for doing somthing that is not "school-realted" well i love you so much and hope to see you soon.
goodbye for now but not forever
love your niece

Hi Girls,
Your mom was needed today, and she was a great guardian angel!!! Rachel was in the car with her girfriend going to a birthday party. Both parents were in the car, dad was driving, Rachel was sitting behind him. Her girlfriend was sitting in the back on the passenger side, behind the mom. A young man went thru the red light and hit the van!!! On the passenger side, opposite side of Rachel. No one was hurt, just the auto's. It could have been devastating!!! The dad said it didn't feel more that a bump in a parking lot. So thank you Patrice!!! You did a good job holding back that driver!!! We missed Nicole yesterday at dinner. Hope to see you soon.
***We have a very special garden bench for Grandmom, for her birthday. It's a memory bench with a lovely saying that will surley put a tear to everyones eyes.
Love ya girls!!!!
Love ya, Aunt Sue!!!!!!!

Hey Mom! Over one week already!..Yeah, we don't beleive it either. I can't really tell if it feels like years have passed, or only seconds that have gone by since that day. I guess it's because I'm still all over the place. Part of me is still stuck in the 14 healthy years we had together, Part of me is stuck in the past 4 years of hell, Part of me is still holding your hand last Wednesday, and all of me is stuck in disbelief. I'll probably be stuck there for a while. I'm going back to school tomorrow, so make sure I have a safe ride up! I really need your help with my finals, whenever I end up taking them! I wish you could only read how much love people are leaving for you on here..you really were the BEST. We had a great outcome Sunday evening, you would have loved it. Actually, I know you did. The millions of hearts you managed to touch throughout your life are all helping the four of us get through this in one way or another & Of course we know your helping us too! Our bracelets are beautiful, Jackie, Alexa & I wear get to show off our angel all day long - Your still shinin even though your in a different place!! I miss my kisses, morning & night text messages, and everything about my best friend but I can deal without it knowing your livin' the GOOD life now. You deserve every bit of happiness and peace you now posess that was held from you for all that time. This isn't going to be easy, but I'm definately going to be strong. I wonder where I learned how to be that way?? .. You know the answer to that. Well just wanted to say Hi, Miss You, Love You, & Can't wait to see you again! Watch over me this weekend! Love you always, beyond forever.

JIMMY, NICOLE, JACKIE, AND ALEXA:

THE FIRST TIME I MET PATRICE WAS ABOUT A YEAR OR TWO AFTER I MOVED TO MY HOUSE ON MILLBROOK RD. I WAS OUT FRONT AND SHE DROVE BY AND STOPPED TO ASK ME IF I KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT THE HOUSE FOR SALE TWO DOORS AWAY. SHE WAS SO SWEET AND NICE AND I WAS SECRETLY WISHING SHE WOULD BUY THE HOUSE BECAUSE SHE SEEMED LIKE SHE WOULD BE A NICE FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR. SHE DID MOVE IN ALONG WITH HER ADORABLE FAMILY AND THROUGH THESE LAST 14 OR 15 YEARS SHE DID TRULY BECOME A FRIEND, ESPECIALLY THROUGH THESE LAST 5 OR 6 YEARS. I WAS AMAZED AT HER POSITIVE ATTITUDE THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE THING AND I REALLY ADMIRED HER FOR THAT. SHE HAD A GOOD HEART AND WOULD ALWAYS ASK HOW YOU WERE DOING AND BE CONCERNED ABOUT YOU. SHE WAS ALWAYS NICE TO MY KIDS. WHEN SHE MOVED 2 YEARS AGO I WAS DISAPPOINTED, BUT I KNEW SHE WOULD KEEP IN TOUCH, AND SHE DID. I WILL MISS HER SO MUCH. IF THERE IS ANYTHING DAN AND I CAN DO FOR YOU, PLEASE LET US KNOW. PLEASE KEEP IN TOUCH, STOP BY IF YOU ARE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. LOVE, FROM THE HENRY FAMILY.

Hi Jim, Nikki, Jackie, and Alexa. I want to say how truly sorry I am for your loss. I am so heartbroken. Patrice was a wonderful woman. I was lucky to have such wonderful next door neighbors like the DiMezzos. It hasn't been the same since you all left. I miss all of you. Patrice always brought a smile to my face when we spoke. It was her kindness and personality that made her an amazing person. I felt like I loss a member of my family. I am going to miss her talks she had with me while I mow the lawn. Jim, please know you have a friend here whenever you need something. Nikki, Jackie, Alexa, your Mom will always be looking over you and be a part of you. God bless you all!

To The DiMezzo-Malampy families:
Patrice was a dear friend and a beautiful person. As a fellow classmate from CCP, she was a true inspiration to us. As a fellow AMH nurse, I know first hand that she was a dedicated nurse. I am honored to have known her and I will miss her terribly. My deepest sympathy and regards to your family at this difficult time.

April 30, 2008

My deepest sympathies to your family. I went to nursing school with Patrice. She was an incredible woman, always smiling, always a kind word to everyone and always a good friend. She was a strong and vibrant, yet gentle woman. My thoughts are with your family at this time. The memories of Patrice will now become treasured memories.

Mary Pat Filer

April 29, 2008

To the DiMezzo family, I am deeply saddened by your loss. Patrice was always a smiling, wonderfully happy person who had such a cheery way about her. She came to our grade school reunion (St. Anselm) and we had a great time even though she didn't go to our school. She always said she had fun at the reunions. She told me then 1 1/2 years ago, that she was doing great and she would beat this. She is now an angel looking out for her girls and still smiling. God Bless you Patrice.

April 29, 2008

To Jimmy and family, Joan, Joanne, Fred, Billy and Chris,
My heart breaks for your loss. When I remember Patrice, I can't help but picture her in her teens as this smiling beautiful radiant girl. And from reading the guest book, everyone that knew her throughout her life, felt the same way. She was my neighbor, my babysitter, and my friend. I feel special just being a part of her life, even if it was long ago. She will always have a special place in my heart and my memories from childhood. If God does have a plan for all of us and this was her time, we should be thankful for the time we did have with her, as she filled our lives with sunshine. I have her girls in my prayers and just know that she will be guiding them each step of their lives.

Dear Jim, Nikki, Jackie, & Alexa,
I was beyond upset when I heard the news about Patrice. My heart goes out to all of you and both families. All I have is good memories of living next door to the 5 of you on Millbrook. We were so sad when you moved and things haven't been the same. Everyday Patrice & I had great talks out back over the fence. She was always concerned about everyone elses well-being and complimented everyone. No one would have ever thought she was fighting breast cancer because of the positive attitude she always had. She made you think to yourself, 'She is absolutely perfect'. She was beautiful and Nikki, Jackie, & Alexa are just like her. Beautiful and strong! Ironic thing was at the viewing when I saw them, they made me stop crying. I will always remember that face and heart of an angel. She was one in a million & I will keep you all in my prayers.

DEAR JIMMY AND FAMILY:

I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. TRISH (I ALWAYS CALLED HER THAT)
WAS ALWAYS SO BEAUTIFUL AND KIND, FROM THE INSIDE/OUT. I EVEN REMEMBER LOOKING AT WEDDING DRESSES WITH HER AND SAYING HOW BEAUTIFUL SHE LOOKED. WHEN I HEARD SHE WAS FIGHTING CANCER, I ALWAYS KEPT HER IN MY PRAYERS. EVEN WRITING THIS IS VERY HARD FOR ME WITHOUT CRYING ABOUT THE LOSS YOU MUST FEEL. I ONLY WISHED THAT I WAS THERE WITH ALL OF YOU. BEING SO FAR AWAY I MISS BEING WITH MY FAMILY AT A TIME WHEN THEY NEED ALL THE SUPPORT. WITH LOVE ALWAYS. LISA AND FAMILY

Dear DiMezzo Family,
I am a former classmate (and friend) of Patrice. I was aware of her battle with cancer and have kept her and your family in my prayers. Patrice had a certain light that always seem to glow around her. Please remember that glow and the special angel that will be forever with you.
In kindness,

There are people who come into our lives and quickly go and there are some who stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. Either way, we are never, ever the same.

To the Malampy & DiMezzo Families ~ Patrice and I went to school together. When I heard the news, I immediately remembered her beautiful face, her amazing smile and her starbright eyes! She is warmly remembered and my thoughts and prayers and with you. God Bless Patrice and all of you and may peace and comfort fill your hearts in the days ahead.

Dear Jim, Nicole, Jackie and Alexa. I was so blessed to have lived next door to you. Patrice was awesome. She made you feel good just talking to her. She was so generous and kind. I will never, ever forget her beautiful smile and sweet voice. She was an inspiration!!!! There are very few people like Patrice -- a sunburst. I'll always remember Patrice and Jimmy as "Barbie and Ken". Everybody on Millbrook Road called you that. She was a doll. I know she will be with you forever, each day of your lives. My whole family is devastated.

April 27, 2008

Dear Jimmy, Nicole, Jaclyn and Alexa and the Malampy and DiMezzo Families: I don't know what to say as I sit here in total shock and disbelievement and try to write this through my tears. We met you two "then newlyweds" over 20 years ago as we moved into our new homes - side by side on Barner Place. We became friends, we watched as your children came into your lives and ours as well, especially Nicole who shared Rob's birthday. I am so sorry that I had to hear about this through old neighbors because as time went on and we all moved and went in separate directions I lost touch and that saddens me. We are sooooo very very sorry to hear that Patrice struggled through breast cancer and then passed on. As many of the writings in this guest book say....she was a HUGE BRIGHT LIGHT and no matter when you saw her, no matter how busy she was, she always had time for others. We miss the fun days in the back yards - and the "screaming bald eagles - Jimmy". We also miss seeing you all and sharing in your company. I hope that you all can find some peace and comfort in knowing that Patrice is now your Guardian Angel. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend who will be sadly missed. I hope you can hear me Trice.

April 27, 2008

Dear Jimmy and the girls,
I am so sorry for your lost. Patrice was one of the strongest people I have ever met in my life. I remember one of our last conversations where she said to me that she would fight this battle to the end that she would never give up, and she did. Patrice no matter how bad her day was she always had a smile on her face. I hope that you guys realize how much she loved you all. I know you guys will miss her but remember she is now your own guardian angel sitting next to GOD making sure you are all safe. You lost your loved one and the Lord has gained a wonderful caring angel to help him keep you safe, and guard the ones she loved.

To the family of Patrice,
Although I don't personally know many of you, I wanted send my deepest sympathies for a life that has touched so many. I went to nursing school with Patrice, and her love for and devoutness to her family and friends was immeasurable. She always spoke of her family with such love and pride! She was an amazing woman, with a gentle strength about her that I have admired since the day I met her. Her kind heart and warm smile will be sorely missed... I am shocked and deeply saddened, and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

To Nicole and Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of you Mother. She was a great person and no one will ever forget that. I can still remeber to this day of the time i was sick at Nicoles birthday party with a virus. Your mom took care of me until my mom came to get me, and she even called me later to see if I was feeling better and wanted to come back to the party and even offered to leave the party to come back to my house and pick me up. Ms. DiMezzo was such a nice and caring woman and she will never be forgotten. She will be with you always. May she rest in peace. <3

Mrs.Dimezzo was a great person there was nothing she wouldn't do for anyone she treated everyone of our friends as if they were her own. Always had a big white smile on her face. Shes always gonna be remembered to me as more then just my friends mother but as a friend of my own. She was always opened to talk about anything with her great personality. Dear Jim, Nikki, Jackie, & Alexa,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. All of you were the best next door neighbors we could have ever asked for. I still remember the first time I met Patrice when I was 11 years old. I was running late for a party and lost the directions and Patrice had no problem digging through all the trash looking for it. That was just one of the MANY reasons of just how amazing and kind she really was. To the DeMezzo and Baldwin Families:

My heart broke when Jo Anne informed me that Patrice had lost her battle with breast cancer. She was a bright light and a beautiful woman, who was always so kind, caring and strong. I went to Nursing school with Patrice, and I will never forget her great smile and warm personality, and the kindness that she showed to everyone, even while fighting this horrid disease. My deepest sympathies to her family. Patrice will be forever missed in this world by all who knew her.

Dearest Jim and girls,
I am so sorry for your loss. Patrice was one of the most beautiful individuals I ever met. The thing about Patrice is how truly self-less she was. Patrice was more concerned with others' needs, then her own. She loved to help others, which made her one of the most compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated nurses I ever met. I remember how bad she felt that she couldn't make it to my wedding in October because she had to restart her chemo, thats just the kind of person she was. She loved people and people loved her. I only knew Patrice for about a year and a half but I loved her like a sister. Everyone loved Patrice, and she will live on in our hearts. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Jimmy, Nicole, Jackie and Alexa
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time. We would like you to know that Trice is a hero in our eyes and always will be! Her amazing spirit and courage will never be forgotten. She touched everyone she came in contact with. Even throughout her struggle, she was always interested in what was going on in your life and if you directed the conversation back to her she would say, "Life doesn't stop because of cancer...it just gets in the way!" How unselfish!! That was our Trice!!! I was in disbelief when I heard the news but it became a reality when my phone didn't ring yesterday to wish me a happy birthday. In 20 years, Trice NEVER missed calling on my birthday. She never forgot an important date and would go out of her way to let you know she was thinking of you. That was just one of her amazing qualities she possessed and how she touched my life. We will always Love and Miss you Trice.
Love, Timmy O, Nancy, Timmy, Connor, Brendan and Brianne

Dear Jim, Nicole, Jackie, Alexa, Joan, Joanne, Billy, Fred, and Chris,
I feel honored to call Patrice my friend. She is an inspiration to all who knew her. Eight years ago, right from the get go, it was so easy and comfortable to be her friend, and leave Lauren in her care. I'm still in such disbelief! You are all in our thoughts and prayers, as you have been. She is smiling on all of you, and always will be!!
Love, Kathy, Stephen and Lauren

Dear Jimmy, Nicole, Jackie, Alexa and Family: Words could never begin to say how deeply saddened we are in the loss of a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister. Patrice was one of a kind always happy and always encouraging words about everyone she knew or met. Never a bad word about anyone. Always wore a smile even through her tough battle. The coming weeks will be hard for all of you. If you need someone to talk to please know we are there for all of you now and always. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Jimmy,
I cannot express to you the level of sorry my heart feels knowing that Patrice has passed from this world. She illuminated so brightly while here. I can honestly say she was the most joyous person I have ever met, so loving and caring to all. She embraced our whole family as if we were hers from the start. She was awe inspiring. Thank you Jim for sharing her with us.
Nicole, Jaclyn and Alexa, your Mom will always live on and shine through all of you. You are the heart of her.

Dear Jim, Nicole, Jaclyn & Alexa,
Patrice was one strong woman. Who would have thought this would take her away from you. My heart goes out to all of you. She will be watching over you. Jim, you are a terrifice husband and dad, the girl's are very lucky to have you. Patrice and I used to talk all the time, and she would always say how lucky she was to have such a great husband and father for her girl's. Melissa & Nicole were very good friends, so therefore I got to talk with Patrice quite often. I am in shock.

I knew Patrice very well. I worked with her at PA orthopedics and would see her at Abington Hospital. Patrice was a terrific person, a dedicated mother and wife. She was a lot of fun to be with and work with. We are devastated by her passing. I am privileged to have known her.
