Patricia was born November 24, 1952 in Sturgis, Ky., to Eugene and Mildred Ann (Jenkins) Wright. She graduated from Wheatfield High School and worked as a cashier at Thornton's and Buy-Low in Evansville. Patricia's favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Richard Austin of Evansville; three sons, Chris Austin and his wife, Kim, of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Mike Austin and his wife, Dawn, of Evansville and Rich Austin and his wife, Donna, of Evansville; one sister, Bonnie Szymanski and her husband, Joe, of Wheatfield, Ind.; one brother, Bruce Wright and his wife, Rena, of Wheatfield; seven grandchildren, William and Timothy Austin, Kylie Davis, Madison and Levi Austin, Nathan Travelstead and Tabatha Riley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Debbie Wright.
Funeral services 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Father Henry Kuykendall officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
