Patricia Averill Obituary
Patricia was born to Arthur and Grace Tickle on Sep. 15, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY. A graduate of Rosemont College, she served as President of Arthur Tickle Engineering Works in Brooklyn, NY, and was subsequently employed by the Manhattan office of CBIZ for more than 30 years.
Patricia loved her family, tennis, bridge, history, Broadway theater, and her beloved upper West Side neighborhood, where she lived for nearly 50 years. She is survived by her daughter Moira Gehring (Eric Smith), sons Francis P. Gehring, III and Arthur Gehring (Karin), six grandchildren and her twin sister Moira Matthews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Sept. 22, 2023 at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 152 West 71st NYC. In lieu of flowers, please donate to New York Historical Society on her behalf.
