Patricia Ann "Patty" Carney

Patricia A. Carney, 76, of Point Pleasant went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 19, 2011, after an extended illness. She was born on December 11, 1934, in Mason County and was the daughter of the late Harold and Olive Carder . Patricia is survived by her sons, William "Bill" Carney of Point Pleasant, and Robert Carney of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, William "Joey" Carney and his wife, Samantha; Jason Carney, Jamie Carney, all of Charleston, Jennifer and Megan Carney of Moundsville, and Elizabeth Carney of Cincinnati, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Derek and Kaylee Carney and Brianna Shelton, all of Charleston, Keelie and MaKayla Carney of Moundsville; and very special lifelong friends, Sharon Roberts, Becky Perry and June Clark , all of Charleston. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Marmet Center nurses, CNAs and Dr. Farris, and the Hospice nurses and CNAs for all their love, care and support. Patty lived a full life. She was loved and respected by her friends and family and will be missed. There will be a private family ceremony.
