Patricia Elizabeth "Pat" Carr

Patricia Elizabeth Carr, known to her loved ones as Pat, peacefully passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 89 in Aptos, California. She was born on July 18, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Blanche and Samuel Rowe Burnett. She was sister to the late Raymond Hill, and survived by her siblings, Samuel Burnett (Barbara) and Mary Hill (Benny, deceased) whose memories she will forever hold in her heart.

Patricia, will be deeply missed by her daughters Alice Carr, Sally Hancock (Jefferson), and Judy Carr (John Dayton), as well as her cherished grandchildren Maura Mecchella, Monica Mecchella, Melanie Mecchella, Jake Hancock, Sarah Hancock, Christina Carr (Brett Bates) and great-grandchildren Archer Carr Bates and Edison Carr Bates.

Patricia's passion for nursing led her to a distinguished career at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she dedicated herself to caring for others. After her move to California in 1989, she continued her nursing journey, leaving an indelible impact on the lives she touched until her retirement, at the age of 78.

Throughout her life, Patricia found solace and community in her faith. A lifelong member of the Methodist Church, attending Arnolia United Methodist Church in Baltimore. After moving to Califorinia she attended Corralitos Methodist Church then finding a home at Aptos United Methodist Church.

In her free time, Pat nurtured her green thumb, tending to her garden with love and dedication. She also cherished the moments traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be passed on for generations to come.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date to honor Patricia's remarkable life and the legacy she leaves behind.
