Patricia Ann Copenhaver

Patricia Ann Copenhaver, age 85, of Cicero, IN passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at home. She was born September 17, 1927 at Huntington, IN to Edward Franklin and Helen (Goeble) Burke. She was a graduate of Huntington High School with the Class of 1945. She also earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Purdue University Extension at Indianapolis in 1969. She had been employed at Marion County General Hospital, then Wishard Hospital and lastly at the private practice at Richard Nolan, M.D. at Carmel, IN. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed sewing, traveling, and playing golf, solitaire, and bridge. She also loved interacting with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married Maurice Lee Copenhaver on June 12, 1949. He survives her. Also surviving are two sons: David Lee (Carolyn) Copenhaver of New Castle, IN, and Richard B. (Sally) Copenhaver of Cicero, IN, a daughter: Ann Christine (Paul) Poland of Cicero, IN, grandchildren: Christianne (Mark) Brock, Kelly (Joel) Harvey, Matthew (Chanda) Poland, Jessica Poland and Cassandra Copenhaver. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister: Emelie Wilson. Memorial services will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church at Noblesville, IN of which she was a member on January 15, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Pastor Douglas Gast will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church.
