In memory of
David and Peter Kim, NHS '84 + '86
July 18, 2008
Dr. Cote was truly a gifted educator and a wonderful human being. While we are saddened to learn of her passing, we are also extremely grateful for having had the privilege of knowing her. Every memory of Dr. Cote brings a smile to our faces – and we cannot think of a more befitting way to honor the life of a woman who touched our lives and those of so many others.

We are saddened to hear of Dr. Cote's passing. She was a wonderful teacher and a caring person. It was a joy to be in her class because she was doing something she honestly loved to do. You shared in her excitement when you began to see school as more than grades but as a valuable growing experience. She was the only high school teacher at the time who invited the students to her house for lunch. It made us feel appreciated and respected as young adults. We were able to see her not only as our AP History teacher but as a well-educated, well-traveled woman who was loved by her family and friends.
Our thoughts, and thanks, go out to her family. Please know that she has touched our lives, even though we knew her for such a short amount of time.

I would like to offer my condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors of Dr. Cote. It is evident that she was a caring, compassionate, and driven woman. She chose two of the most caring professions that I can personally think of, Nursing and Education. She quickly volunteered to fill the vacancy of CLASS ADVISOR for the Natick High School Class of 1985, when one of the advisors resigned abruptly. (I'm not even sure that we students formally thanked her for doing that) Although I never became a student in a class that she taught, I learned a great deal from her through conversations, reflections, and discussions that we shared. She has remained a friend to me and to my family since. She was a great role model not just for children and students, but for all human beings. I'm sure that since her passion was History, she will be pleased with leaving such a beautiful and long-lasting legacy for all of us to remember and admire. The world is a sadder place without her here. Thank GOD her SPIRIT will live on. She was one of the best teachers the town of Natick ever had! Thank you for your Inspiration Dr. Cote. We love you and we will miss you!

Dr. Cote,
Your AP History class and your photos of African tigers were the precious roots of my education and travels. I know so many of the Natick High grads feel the same way.
Gratefully,

Pdot...you were a woman above woman. I have never met such a kind, considerate, caring person as you were. When teaching, you were the consumate educator reaching out to all students in a manner which challenged each to maximize their ability and knowledge.
You are sorely missed by your friends and family.
