Patricia Griffice Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 7, 2025.
Patricia Griffice, born Patricia Britt on April 18, 1959, in Ringgold, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2025, in McDonald, Tennessee.

Patricia's life was marked by devotion-to family, to service, and to the simple joys that brought her happiness. She proudly served in the United States Army, a testament to her strength and commitment to something greater than herself.

Family was at the heart of Patricia's world. She shared life with her beloved husband of 29 years,Bill Griffice. Patricia was a devoted mother to son Britt Thomas, daughter Elizabeth and her husband Pat Daniel. Her love extended deeply into the next generation through her cherished grandsons, Hudson and Braylen Harper. Patricia was stepmother to Deedra Hughes and Travis Griffice. Her love touched many others in her family circle, including her niece Christie and her husband David Lee Brewer as well as Patricia's last surviving sibling Joyce Baxter.

Patricia was preceded in death by her first husband Darriel Thomas; parents William and Ruth Britt; three brothers Bud, Buster and Glenn Britt, and sister Linda Welch.

Those who knew Patricia will remember how much she loved spending time with Hudson and Braylen-moments filled with laughter and warmth. Whether cooking up a favorite dish or relaxing outside by the pool under the sun's embrace, Patricia found joy in life's everyday blessings.

A Memorial service will be held at Corinth Baptist Church in Mcdonald,Tn to be announced at a later date.

May Patricia's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire love and strength in all whose lives she touched.

I'm so grateful I met and had even the last almost 2 years with you. I've known Britt for 150 years lol, but only got to officially meet you in 2023 and from day 1 you made me feel like you'd known me my entire life and you never let me walk through your door or leave without making sure I got a hug that somehow always seemed to make me feel a little better every time. I'll miss our talks whenever I was at your house and how you made me feel like you genuinely cared about me which meant so much more than you'll ever know. For my 38th birthday you were the only one that got me a gift and before that it had been a few years so I was used to just no one saying or doing anything, but it wasn't the gift that made me happy.... It was the fact that you went out of your way to make sure I knew I was loved and cared for and you absolutely succeeded. I miss you very much already and love you just as much.

I know Pat will be greatly missed and am praying for her family and friends. It is wonderful to know she will be waiting for us when we arrive in heaven. I am so glad she is in the presence of the Lord and no longer suffering. Elissa and Ledford Cook

Pat was a blessing to many on this earth, including myself. She always treated me fairly, lovingly and opened her home to me. I know I tested her at times, and like my own mother, I was still welcomed with open arms. I miss her tea, her hugs and her honesty. I share a picture from 2004. Bless her soul, she is now free.
