To the Kowalski Klan, our deepest sympathy to you all on the loss of Pat. We saw it in the morning paper and researched it to make sure it was her. I wondered if she was ok when I did not hear from her at Christmas. Now she is with Frank. We all loved your parents and have wonderful memories of Walnut Grove, Hilton Head, and the couple of visits to TX. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Love

I was Mrs. Kowalski's day time caregiver for the past few months. Darlin, as I called her enriched my life these past few months. She taught me unconditional love, how to be more patient, and how important family truly is. Darlin and I spent our mornings sipping coffee in a sunny window, and our afternoons sipping coffee in the yard. We could talk about anything from gardening to the great depression. The last day we spent together, I set her hair for her. She was so happy about "looking like a lady." Darlin was so excited about the lovely new socks she was wearing. Some may say taking care of Miss Patricia was my job, but it was so much more, it was an honor to be trusted by her family to take care of her. It was an honor simply to know such a lovely woman. Darlin, I already miss you so very much! However, I find peace in knowing that you no longer feel pain. The Good Lord has called you home to rejoin Frank for all of eternity. I will not forget to tell you good morning though.
Thank you Mary Pat and Catie for allowing me to spend the time that I did with such a lovely lady. I am so sorry you ladies had to say goodbye to her.
