Patricia Luchkiw Obituary
Patricia L. Luchkiw, 79, of Reading passed away at 12:05 a.m. Thursday at the Manor Care Home in West Reading.
She was born Feb. 24, 1931, in Butler, the daughter of the late Albert Rodgers and the late Susan (Porach) Rodgers.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler.
Surviving are two sons, Larry (Rebecca) Luchkiw of Butler and Thomas (Patty) Luchkiw of Sinking Spring, Berks County; two daughters, Marianne Luchkiw of Montana and Marcy (Matt) Petrie of Manassas, Va.; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Susan (Richard) Meeker of Manassas, Va.; and a brother, Albert (Jackie) Rodgers of Indianapolis, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Luchkiw, who died Oct. 20, 2003; a son, William; and two sisters and five brothers.
LUCHKIW - Friends of Patricia L. Luchkiw, who died Thursday, March 25, 2010, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Young Funeral Home Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Blessing services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Aunt Patty was so nice to me, I remember . When my parents went to Iowa, they wanted someone with me. She came to be with me .
When Grandma was sick , she was there till the end . We will now remember Aunt Patty as we seen her along time ago . Also the chain is coming together. She is with all her love ones , that have left this earth.

May we express our deepest sympathy to the families of Patricia. I can remember being at her wedding many years ago & how nice she was to all of us over the many years that we knew here. She will be sadly missed by all of us who had the fortune to know her.
