We were next door neighbors for 37+ years. What a wonderful inspiration she was; vital and engaged into her 90s. There was more to our relationship than run of the mill neighborliness. We shared a special bond based on loss and grief that engendered deep trust with understanding beyond the need of words. As Pat and Hugh aged it was our honor and pleasure to be available to them for whatever help was needed, day or night. After Hugh's passing we shared many warm conversations together in each other's homes, out in the street during her regular walks and in her yard as she attacked the dandelions without mercy! Fly on, Pat, fly on.

Pat was a wonderful friend to my mother, Priscilla Donovan Johnson, and to our family over many, many years. She was always gracious, kind, keenly interested in the lives of other people and the conditions of the world. She was part of a special era in Denver of growth, enlightenment, education and progress. We will always remember her fondly and with admiration.

Pat was a wonderful person, generous to a fault. Whenever we visited her, she was welcoming and kind. She was wonderful to my grandchildren, patient and always answering their questions. I can't imagine Denver without her. She will be greatly missed!
