The World is a sadder place without Patty. Her enthusiasm was infectious. Even though I hadn't seen her since the move to Denver I thought of her and Jim often. Good friends are really hard to find. She was taken much too soon. Heaven, I'm sure, is an even happier place.

When we visited Margaret Wallace in 1998 we resided in Pat and Jim's flat nearby. We have happy memories of meeting them there, and also in their house near Denver. With affectionate sympathy to you, Jim.

In 1975, Mary and I visited my brother Ken and his dear wife Helen for a memorable holiday.

One day we were introduced to Pat and Jim and all six of us had a wonderful day at Wolf Trap, to celebrate the music of Scott Joplin coupled with a Picnic.

Pat and Jim stayed in our thoughts when we returned to the UK, and then followed a wonderful pen friendship which is still with me today, but sadly Pat and my Mary are no longer with us. I pen these words as a memorial to a special lady and friend whose life enriched Mary and I so much.

May God Bless her and keep dear Jim.

With everlasting love,

Travis

We always had a good time when we were with Pat. We will miss Pat's humor and her laugh. She was a wonderful sister-in-law.

Pat sent out the invitations for Hugh's and my wedding in 1965.

She and Jean Hodson (my other sister-in-law) gave me a bridal shower. They along with Mother Neely bought us beautiful china and crystal. I still have every piece of it and it is still beautiful. Two years later, they gave me a baby shower. Pat gave me some baby furniture. When that child got married in 1991, Pat and Jim gave him and his bride a unity candle which was used in the ceremony.

Among the precious memories are the parties given by Pat and Jim, the times that Pat and I would meet for lunch and talk and laugh more than we ate. The last precious memory was November 2003, when Pat, Jim, and Clarissa were my and my son, Robert's guests for lunch at Miss Kay's Toll House in Silver Spring, Maryland. A good time was had by all but the visit was too short. It was so good to hear Pat laugh.

Pat Neely had a merry heart. The Bible says that a merry heart does good like a medicine (Proverbs 17:22).

Pat has gone to a land that is fairer than day, with singing and rejoicing, joy and laughter. This land has no worry, sorrow, or tears. It is Pat's kind of place. We will miss her for a little while but one day we will meet on that beautiful shore. Then we will visit, talk, and laugh and find that it is even better than the good old days.

Dearest Pat:

You were such a good friend. You thought more of me than I! We did love to laugh---such fun together.

Love,

This is the way we feel about Pat and how much she cared for her family. It is an anonymous poem that we wish to share.

MY FIRST CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN -- I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below with tiny lights, like Heaven's stars reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular, Please wipe away the tear, For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear, But the sounds of mucis can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring. For it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside your heart, but I am not so far away, we really aren't apart.

So be happy for me, dear ones, you know I hold you dear. And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above. I sent you each a memory of my undying love.

After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold it was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do, for I can't count the blessing or the love He has for each of you.

So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear. Remember I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. With loving thoughts and memories Marilyn and Jim

Pat was so full of life that it's hard to believe she's gone. I'll always remember that wonderful smile and the energy that seemed to radiate around her. She was a special person and she'll be missed.

My friend Pat was kind, sincere and generous.

She was a good listner and fun to be with.

I miss her very much. Especially the lunches and shows we used to get together for.

I was so happy that she considered me a friend.

She was truly a Friends's Friend and I will never forget her.

Sincerely,

Pat was a dear friend. She always danced next to me in the aerobics class. The anniversary celebration was grand! I recall the lovely evening at the Arvada Center concert with the Neelys. She is sorely missed, and will be remembered always by the Newens- Nick and Mary Jane.

It's hard to imagine that Pat is gone. I will always picture her as vibrant and enthusiastic. She always had a kind word (or ten!), and her laugh was infectious. Her love of life was evident from her many and varied interests, be it travel, art, or her family.

When my wife, Debby, and I travelled to Colorado, Pat and Jim invited us over for a "simple" lunch. As we had to be someplace, we intended to stay an hour. Four hours later, we were still enjoying ourselves. So typical.

So sorry to see you go, Pat.
