Patricia Paddock Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 19, 2018.
Patricia "Patty" Paddock
Born May 19, 1981 Phoenix AZ, Died March 17, 2018 Peoria AZ.
Survived by her husband Sean Paddock. Mother Rhonda Moran. Father Timothy Moran. Siblings Jill Lenehan, Katie Wold, Molly Knutson, Libby Moran, Johnny Moran, & Maggie Moran.

Patty received her high school education at Xavier Prep in Phoenix. Patty then attended ASU where she received a bachelor's in Parks and Rec. While at ASU during her bachelor's program Patty participated in the Disney college program twice at Walt Disney World. She liked to say it was a great experience working as a life guard at the Disney hotels. The second time she was working as a character chaperone and as an elf for Santa. She always said it was a good experience learning how to keep the kids and parents in line, a skill that she found very useful as a teacher. After graduating with her bachelor's degree Patty worked as an au pair in Ireland for a few months before returning to Arizona. Once Patty returned to Glendale she started work as a teacher at Glendale Landmark Elementary. While working as a teacher Patty enrolled in a graduate program and obtained a M. Ed in Special Education. She later completed a M. Ed in Administration and completed her certification to become a Principal. Patty went on to teach at Sine Middle school in the Glendale Elementary school district. After, she continued her teaching career at Great hearts Academy in north Phoenix, she then moved to teach high school at Metro Tech. While working at Metro Tech she co founded her own charter school, Pensar Academy. After leaving Pensar Patty worked at Legacy Traditional School in Surprise, Arizona. Patty's final teaching position was at The Wellness Center where she was contracted to work at Eagle College Prep as a Special Education Compliance Director. Throughout her many years of teaching Patty made many friends and earned the respect of her colleagues with her passion for teaching and her compliance of special education laws.

Even with all of her education responsibilities Patty still found time to make a difference in the community she lived in. Patty was part of an animal rescue group that took in dogs from the pound to help train them for future adoption. At one time there were 9 dogs in our house and they all found a great home. After her volunteer time with the rescue group Patty loved to take care of her two dogs. Walks, runs, hikes, and naps were a favorite pastime for all.

Patty and I eventually decided to expand our family from the two of us and our two dogs. Little did we know that would be an experience all on its own. In vitro fertilization first started off as a "might be needed" with many people saying just keep trying, but after seeing a few specialists we realized IVF was our path and in Patty's fashion she took it head on and we never looked back. After two rounds were unsuccessful we were ready and eager to try a third, unfortunately we never got that opportunity. Patty throughout this experience again made numerous friends and helped a great deal of people going through this experience as well.

Patty is loved by many. She will be missed by all who got to meet her with her energy for life and passion for always helping those in need. Please join us as we have a celebration of her life on Sunday March 25, 2018 at Sunland Memorial Park located at 15826 N Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ at 1pm.

If you wish to help, in lieu of flowers Patty would like any donations made to https://resolve.org so that others have a chance to have a child that we never could. Patty's other passion was her dogs, a donation made in her name to the Maricopa County Pound would also have brought out her beautiful smile.
