Patricia (Pat) Kennedy Parker went to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, December 25,2015. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born on December 21, 1936, to David & Hazel Kennedy in McLeansville, NC. She is the eldest of two sisters, Gerri Elliott and Betty Mitchell. Pat married Ron June 27th, 1959, and enjoyed 56 years wonderful years together. She is survived by her husband Ron, her three children, Rhonda Eavenson (Bud), Renee Taylor (Chris), and Brian Parker (Lori), as well as five grandchildren, Jennifer, Morgan, Julie Anne, Kelly, and Evan. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, David & Hazel Kennedy. Pat was a member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL.
Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her loving affection for those who entered her home. She always made guests feel special with her gift of hospitality. Pat spent most of her life as a homemaker which allowed her focus to be on her family, her true pride and joy. As a homemaker, she was able to start her own business using her talent of sewing to create beautiful home décor which many people still enjoy in their homes and businesses today.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 31st, 2015, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral home at 11 am. The service will conclude with a committal service at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Northeast Church Journey Campaign, 2001 Cherry Drive, Braselton, GA 30517, or online at mynortheastchurch.com.
