Patricia "Patsy" Ann Durham

Patricia "Patsy" Ann Durham, age 99 of Glendive, Montana passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care in Glendive. Rite of Committal will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at St. Anthony Cemetery in Plevna, Montana with Fr. Phillip Chinnapon officiating. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Patsy was born on June 8, 1925 in Camp Crook, South Dakota to her parents Nick and Merva (Ridgeway) Wellenstein. She was raised and educated in Plevna, Montana where she graduated from Plevna High School with the class of 1943. Following her education she started working at a bank in Baker, Montana where she met Sam Durham and they were united in marriage on July 9, 1952 in Baker and to this union one son was born. They later moved to Miles City, Montana for a couple of years before moving to Glendive in 1970 where she has resided ever since. Patsy worked for Glendive Medical Center as a C.N.A. for thirty-five years and volunteer countless hours to the GMC Attic.

Patsy enjoyed traveling, having went on a few cruises all over the world. She was known to crochet dolls and Afghan blankets for the girls and new babies. Patsy loved to golf and played until the age of ninety-two and she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant daughter, Susie; three brothers, Bobby, Gene and Jim Wellenstein.

She is survived by her son, Sam (Candy) Durham of Glendive; two granddaughters, Tanna (Joe) Rex and Teresa Durham all of Boise, Idaho; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Rebeka and Grace; one brother, Richard (Delores) Wellenstein of Kansas City, Kansas, her pet dog Chanse, and numerous nieces and nephews.
