Patricia Rose Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 29, 2025.
Patricia Elaine Rose, 77, passed away on July 10, 2025, in Rancho Cordova, California.

Born on May 16, 1948, Patricia-affectionately known as Patty-grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in the Class of 1966 and later pursued vocational training as a Key Punch technician through a Goodwill-sponsored program. Patty began her career with Goodwill in Baltimore and eventually found her calling in childcare and clerical work for Sacramento County after relocating to California in 1997 to be closer to family.

Patty brought warmth and creativity into every part of her life. A talented crocheter, she lovingly crafted blankets for newborns at the Neil Orchard Senior Activities Center, where she was an active member for more than a decade. Holidays were especially dear to her-she celebrated Halloween each year by crocheting her own costume and never missed a family gathering or festive event. Her homemade soups were unique, and she took pride in sharing fresh vegetables from her small but fruitful garden.

She found great joy in playing bingo twice a week as well as group outings with friends at the senior center-the most recent being a farm trip where she delighted in riding on a hay truck. Fiercely independent and full of life, Patty cherished time spent with loved ones and had an enduring passion for crime-solving drama shows on TV.

Patty is lovingly remembered by her sisters Nita Wasko and Claudette Shea; nieces Dorothy (Doug) Rheams, Mary (Steve) Smith, Anne Brown, Margaret Bruchlacher; and nephew Brian Benson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and James Shea.

In lieu of flowers , please donate to the Neil Orchard Senior Center.

Her generous spirit and joyful presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
