Patricia A. Rosenblum

Patricia A. Carlson-Rosenblum passed away on April 13, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Middletown, New Jersey after a brief but brave battle with cancer. Patricia was born in Staten Island to the late Arthur and Alice Carlson on June 14, 1945. Patricia attended Port Richmond High School and received an Associates degree from St. Vincent's School of Nursing . Patricia was a retired Registered Nurse and Nurse Manager in the Labor and Delivery unit of St. Vincent's Hospital/Richmond University Medical Center for more than 28 years. Patricia was known as a talented, compassionate and skillful nurse and manager who always helped and cared for others before herself . Patricia devoted her expertise and passion to deliver thousands of babies throughout her career. Patricia was a voracious reader, loved to watch Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune every night, loved Broadway shows, enjoyed spending time on the Jersey Shore and traveling with her family. Patricia always looked at the positives in life and made the best of every situation. She always told everyone "Life is Good" during difficult times. Patricia's ultimate pride and joy were by far her grandchildren and she loved to spend time with each of them and was always there beaming with pride at their many accomplishments. Patricia was the loving wife of Edward J. Rosenblum, incredible mother to Janice Greenberg and Cheryl Lupo, caring stepmother to Rosemarie Rosenblum and the late Edward J. Rosenblum Jr., a wonderful mother-in-law to James Greenberg and Frank Lupo, an amazing sister to Barbara Mehnert ,Betty Daly and Arthur Carlson, Jr., a cherished aunt to Chris D'Ambra, John Mehnert, Peter Mehnert, Tom Daly, Tricia Davies, Robert Carlson and Ryan Carlson and great-aunt to all of their children. Patricia was especially the most loving, caring and proud grandmother to her grandchildren Christina, John, Alexa, Joseph, Ariana, Sean, Christopher and Connor and great-grandmother to John, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell Kidney Transplant Center.
