Gene,
I just can't seem to find the right words to express my sympathy to you. Pat was a wonderful and very courageous woman who will be missed by all who knew her. I'll always be here for you.

We have so many great memories of being with you and Pat - staying at your house until the sun was up! The bridge; Pelican Inn; Laguna, your great parties!
And how you gave such a wonderful home and so much love to Tanker, we will be forever grateful.
Her courage and grace were profound.
Take care, we love you.

Cousin Patty
You were my favorite cousin, dear friend and my childhood memory. Since we were the same age we played and got into mischief together. You'd remind me of stories when you and I were little and you would visit us in El Cajon.... Wow was that a long time ago.
I sure don't remember trying to hitch hike when we were little, but you shared the stories of our escapade and my Dad picking us up in his big white converitble...you had me laughing throughout the tale...but you also assured me we were in BIG Trouble so it wasn't too funny then. I wish I had the memory you had for telling these great family stories and making everyone laugh even as you grew weaker with your illness.. You were a strong, loving and courteous woman.
I know you are now strong again and full of spirit as you crossover and you will spend time with each and everyone of us from time to time. Whenever I thikn of you I know you'll be there tapping on my shoulder to remind me....
I love you and will miss you.

Gene- I remember having a couple glasses of wine with Pat and you at the Monastery over the years. I think that I also remember a contest that you and Pat won at the Monastery. I believe that your prize was a bottle of Mateus wine!! We love you-- "keep your visor flipped up".

Dear Uncle Gene,
I'm really sorry we couldn't be there. I know it's been over 20 years since I've seen Aunt Pat but I thought about her as well as you alot. I remember she's the one that taught me how to play double solitaire, way back when I was little. I Love You.
Love,

Dear Gene- I can't tell you how sorry I was to read of Pat's death. I always had such a great time with her when she came in for her cleanings, and felt so bad to have to tell her of yet another tooth gone bad. Lord knows she suffered with her cancer in so many ways, but (almost) always put her best foot forward, trying not to complain, and taking each day in stride. She was, and always will be an inspiration to me. With deepest regards, DEB

What a joy Patricia was! How blessed Guine and I are to have had her as a sister and dear Aunt Paa Paa. Oh, how we laughed and played. Thank you Gene for you and Pat helping me raise Guine. And thank you for sharing Pat with us. You both gave Guine such a beutifully enriched beginning. It's made such a difference. I loved to watch Pat and Guine play together. On December 22,2007, Pat's Birthday in ICU , Guine wore total pink. Guine walked into the room and Patty raised her arms to enfold Guine and said," Guine I have missed you so much." Guine walked gently to Pat's side seeing only her sweet Auntie Paa Paa. Our nurse Linda said," These two have a special bond". I know Patty is dancing now with the angels.

Gene-
I replaced Pat in payroll when she was promoted to payroll tax. I just retired from Viad/Greyhound - and from payroll - last month. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Pat was a terrific lady and a good teacher. It's been a long time since I've seen her but I've never forgotten her humor or her dedication to her job. She set the bar high.

Dear Aunt Pat,
Thanks for all your emails! You were always great about checking in on us and making sure we were ok, like when Derek broke his arm. We didn't get to spend alot of time with you, but we will remember you from the Easter dinners at Uncle Peter's house and the egg cracking contests.
Love from your great-nephews,

Aunt Pat,
You showed incredible courage and strength for what you had to endure over the years. You set a great example of how one can live their life - despite the odds that were against you. I know that you are in a better place, watching over Uncle Gene and the rest of the family. You were a beautiful woman. Say hi to my dad for me.
Love your nephew, Mike

Uncle Gene, We are thinking of you in this difficult time. Aunt Pat was the strongest lady I ever met! She was always a pleasure to be around. I loved getting her emails and hearing her stories about things that had gone on in her day. She could always take a bad situation and turn it into something hilarious when she retold the details. My favorite was her story about getting stuck in the sofabed when she dropped something down on the floor under it and the series of events leading up to the paramedics rescuing her! This family will really miss her -
