Patricia Ann Souza

Patricia Ann (Stals) Souza, age 69 of Pittsfield MA passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on October 7, 2022. Born in New Bedford, MA to the late Bruno and Esther Stals, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford until moving to the Berkshires in 2020. Pat was a graduate of St. Anthony High School class of 1970. She was a C.N.A. at Hathaway Manor and later a private duty home health aide. Previously, she worked at Cornell Dubilier. Pat enjoyed hosting summertime cookouts at her home in New Bedford, traveling to the white mountains in NH and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Pat was known for her quick wit and sarcastic humor. She is survived by a daughter Jennifer Souza of New Bedford and son James and his wife Jennifer of Assonet MA. Her sisters Donna Gregoire of Stephentown NY and Sandy Gould of Durham NC, four grandchildren, Alexis, Marissa, Korynne and Shaun, a niece and several nephews. According to Pat's wishes services will be private. Arrangements are by Casper Funeral Services. Donations can be made in Pat's name to the American Institute for Cancer Research.
