Patricia A. Stratton

Patricia A. Stratton, 86, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 7th, at her home in Kingsley. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 10th, 2012 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley with Msgr. Duchaine officiating and Fr. Topf co-celebrating. Interment will be at St. Michael's cemetery. Visitations with the family present will be after 4:00 P.M., March 9th at St. Michael's. A rosary will be said at 5:00 P.M. followed by a 7:00 P.M. prayer service, all at the church in Kingsley. Visitation will continue Saturday morning from 9:30 A.M. until service time. Arrangements are with the Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rohdefh.com. Patricia Anne Doran was born January 13, 1926 in Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of Basil and Mary (Timmins) Doran. On June 14, 1948, she married Robert Stratton at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley. To this union, they were blessed with three daughters, Mary Renner of LeMars, Ann Dunne of Kingsley, and Regina Marie. Patricia was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the St. Michael's Guild. She taught for many years at both the Kingsley public school and St. Michael's parochial school. Survivors include her husband Robert Stratton; two daughters, Mary Renner of LeMars, and Ann and her husband Bill Dunne of Kingsley; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Dr. Chad Renner of Kansas City, and Rob and Renae Renner and their children Chance, Noah, and Danni of LeMars; Cory and Mindy Dunne and their children, Camryn, Hayden, and Liam of Kingsley; Nicole and Dr. Travis Brownell and their children Olivia and Anna Claire of Dakota Dunes, SD; Jennifer and Mike Galles and their children Isabella and John William of Sioux City, IA; and Gina and Jeremy Sitzmann and their children Jordyn and Brynn of Kingsley, IA. Patricia especially took great pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took great pride in her family and her Catholic faith. Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter Regina, her parents, and her brother. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Patricia's name to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kingsley.
