Patricia J. Suarez
August 12, 1935 - October 13, 2025
Patricia "Pat" J. Suarez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025 in New Jersey surrounded by family. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, in August 1935, the cherished daughter of Charles F. Novak and Theresa Vicen Novak.
Pat's life was defined by compassion, devotion, and service to others. A proud graduate of St. Joseph's Nursing School in Baltimore, she went on to earn her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a master's from Trinity College. She spent her professional life caring for others as a registered nurse and later as a specialist in dementia care management, where her gentle touch and deep understanding brought comfort to countless patients and their families.
Pat married the love of her life, Dr. Faustino Reynes Suarez, MD with whom she shared a marriage built on mutual respect, humor, and unwavering support. Together they raised four children - Joseph T.N. Suarez (Elizabeth), Melissa M.N. Suarez, Cindy N. Suarez, and Kathryn R.N. Suarez - who will forever be grateful for her guidance, strength, and unconditional love.
She is also survived by her brother, Charles M. Novak; seven adoring grandchildren - Kathryn E.S. Suarez (Christopher White), Nicholas R.S. Suarez, Bailey T. Maloney (Kathryn), Madison F. Maloney (Kelly), Logan R. Suarez, Rowan C. Suarez, and Dylan T. Suarez-Melton; and one great-grandchild, Meredith Lincoln, who brought her endless joy in her later years.
Pat's passions were many, but her family always came first. She found joy in travel, attending theater and concerts, and spending peaceful days in St. Michaels on Maryland's Eastern Shore, where she savored steamed crabs and the company of loved ones. Among her greatest joys was helping raise her grandchildren Rowan and Logan, whose lives are forever enriched by her love, laughter, and example.
Pat Suarez will be remembered for her radiant kindness, her deep empathy, and her unwavering belief in the goodness of people. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate to know her.
A private family service will be held to celebrate her life and the immeasurable love she gave so freely.
