Patricia Sullivan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 2 to Mar. 4, 2022.
Patricia was born November 24th, 1940, in Boston, MA to Joseph R. O’Leary and Mary (Fitzgerald) O’Leary. She passed away at home in Cranbury, NJ, after a short illness on February 25th, 2022.
She was a graduate of Mt. Auburn School of Nursing, Cambridge, MA, and Newton College of the Sacred Heart, Newton, MA. After her two children reached school age she managed a physician’s practice.
She is survived by her husband John Warren Sullivan, MD; two sons: John W. Sullivan, of Durham, NC; and Mark A. Sullivan (m. Melissa Z.) of Pennington, NJ; grandchildren William D. Sullivan, James F. Sullivan, and Elizabeth E.L. Sullivan; her sister Mary Judith (O’Leary) Fox Nelson of Brick, NJ; and her brother Joseph R. O’Leary, Jr. of Littleton, MA; and her many Nieces and Nephews.
She had been a resident of Cranbury, NJ, for the past four and a half years, and previously was a resident of Longmeadow, MA for forty-three years.
For many years she was a member of Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104 and the Springfield Jewish Community Center, 1160 Dickinson Street, Springfield, MA 01108. Donations may be made to either institution in her memory.
Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Knitting, quilting and family genealogy were regular activities in her life. During the last three decades she avidly and persistently studied the language and culture of Italy.
A private graveside service was held on March 1, 2022 at her internment, at Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury, NJ.
