Patricia Ann Tennyson

Patricia Ann Tennyson, 82, of Florence, Alabama went to rest at her eternal home on Monday, February 10, 2025. at her residence surrounded by her family. Pat was born January 10, 1943 to the late George Wright and Lois Bernadine Goode Lawton.

Ms. Tennyson was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama. She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, and going to the beaches in California. Her fondest memories will be the picnics shared on the Tennessee River banks in the evenings or snuggled up watching their favorite shows with her beloved husband Lawrence Obra Tennyson of thirty-eight years.

Ms. Tennyson was welcomed home by her parents; her brother, George Lawton; and sister. Janice Ownbey.

She leaves behind her legacy of family members; her husband, Lawrence "Buck" Tennyson; son, David Brian Shuck (Carol); daughters, Lori Ann Brown, Lisa Marie Brandt (Jim), and Laura Tennyson; brother James Leonard Lawton; sister, Myra Diane Foote; fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family and friends.

There is a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Oakdale Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama beginning at two o'clock in the afternoon with Bro. Kenneth Floyd officiating. The family will begin accepting friends from twelve o'clock noon until service time. Ms. Tennyson will be interned in the Corinth National cemetery in Corinth, Mississippi the following day at noon. The care for the arrangements have been entrusted with the staff of McPeters Funeral Directors in Corinth, Mississippi.
