Patricia Tracy Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 15, 2024.
Patricia (Pat) Tracy of Framingham, MA passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on May 8, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband Jeremiah Tracy. She leaves her daughter Amy O'Donnell and husband, John, of Ashland, MA and her son Jeremiah Tracy and husband, James Coveno, of Boston, MA and her grandchildren Jake O'Donnell (East Boston) and Abby O'Donnell (Ashland).

Pat was a graduate of Newport Hospital School of Nursing in Rhode Island and worked at Newport Hospital. She moved to Framingham with her husband and children in 1977 and promptly joined the Framingham Garden Club. For twenty plus years she worked as a nurse at St. Patrick's Manor. Almost every day after work, she could be found raking leaves or pulling weeds in her garden. After retiring from nursing, she worked part time at River's Edge Garden Center in Framingham.

Her greatest joy was taking Jake & Abby to River's Edge to see the dogs and donkeys, followed by lunch at Home Town Hot Dog.

During the final years of her life, she received amazing love and care as a resident of St. Patrick's Manor, which was like a second home to her.

I will always remember Pats smile and how proud she was of her nursing cap. She was kind and ready to give a helping hand to residents and staff. E1 had a great spirit amongst the team. Still gave a smile when you visited her.

I met Mrs. T when I became Amy's roommate at UMass and I will always remember her as a Mom who loved her children and worked very hard to raise them to be the special people they are today. I also remember admiring her style, she always dressed really well, and projected a self-assured, polished and "cool" vibe. This was complemented by Pat's outstanding sense of humor, which was dry and laced with sarcasm, which I felt was a sign of intelligence. She never failed to make us crack up! Pat also loved her title as Grandmother, she adored Jake and Abby, and I know a bit of her spirit will live on in them. May she enjoy the peace, health and reunions that heaven holds for her. XO
