Patricia Volpe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 1, 2025.
Patricia Mary Volpe (née Doyle), 37, passed away on May 9, 1987, in New York City. Born on July 20, 1949, in the Bronx, New York, Patricia lived a life rooted in family, faith, and quiet joys.

A graduate of St. Helena High School, Patricia began her professional journey at the New York Telephone Company. Though her time there was brief, it marked the beginning of her working life and reflected her early dedication and sense of responsibility.

Patricia was born into the Catholic faith and attended church on Sundays throughout her life. Her spiritual grounding was an important part of her upbringing and daily rhythm.

Family was at the heart of Patricia's world. She cherished spending time with her husband Gerald and found deep joy in raising their two daughters, Delores and Denise. Her love extended to their children as well-her grandchildren brought added light to her days. Patricia also maintained close bonds with her siblings: her sister Kathi of Long Beach, New York; her brother Michael in South Carolina; and her brother Dennis in New Jersey. She held dear the memory of her brother Bobby, who passed away in 2022, as well as that of her parents-her father who passed in 2008 and mother in 2016.

In quieter moments, Patricia enjoyed reading books on a wide range of subjects. Her curiosity led her through pages filled with knowledge and laughter alike. She especially loved watching comedy-a source of comfort and joy that mirrored the warmth she brought to those around her.

Patricia's life may have been brief, but it was filled with meaningful connections and simple pleasures that left lasting impressions on those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all whose lives she touched.
