Patricia Yablonsky Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 22, 2024.
Patricia Smith Yablonsky, beloved mother to Barton Smith Yablonsky, age 83, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Friday September 20th, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

She was born in Baltimore in 1941 to Genevieve Olivia Lansinger and William Marcus Smith, and was one of five siblings. Patricia attended high school at Mount De Sales in Cockeysville, after school she began a career in retail.

Patricia was a devoted mother to Bart, her pride and joy. She always said his birth changed her life for the better. She was his champion through adolescence and into his adulthood. Doing whatever she could to support him.

Patricia took special joy in taking care of animals, from many cats and dogs to horses, and had fond memories of vacations, horse shows, and especially Hornstein the family cat. She was resourceful and enjoyed finding beauty in discarded things.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Olivia (Jean) and Nancy who she loved deeply, and is survived by her brothers Nick and Chris, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

She did not want a traditional funeral service. Donations in her memory can be made to your local SPCA. A remembrance gathering is being planned for the fall.
