From Robin Dreeke,
Wow... my wife and I were shocked when the notice of Pat passing came on the tv screen while watching Sunday Morning w/Jane Pauly. Growing up in New York on 56th Street... Pat and I were neighbors. We actually met over a ping pong table at the Y. We became fast friends and hung out alot together. I could go on and on with our adventures in the city, who we saw... got to meet and so on, but this is hardly the place for that.
Pat was (is) actually my son´s godfather. After Pat moved out to California... for work, we lost touch. Pat was, and remains my very Best Friend. If it weren´t for Pat introducing me to Madeline (the then receptionist at Luigi´s), we wouldn´t have gotten married (still are).
My sympathies go out to all Pats family and friends who´ve we never got to know meet.

I remember watching him dance on Hullabaloo. I was 15 and thought he was fantastic. He was so enjoyable to see dance

I was in the 1956 revival of the King and I at NY City Center where Patrick was the crown Prince. Years later I was one of the children in original Broadway production of Flower Drum Song where Patrick was the second son. So sorry to hear of his passing he was a great person.

Patrick was one talented and giving man, as well as gifted Jazz dance teacher, with a great and unique story, and loads of amazing professional experience, including performing on Broadway when he was just a kid.
I got to know him well in the 80s when he was my instructor. Pat was teaching Jazz dance at SMC, and Katnap Dance Studio in Venice. We became friends and would hang out, outside of class, regularly in the am for coffee or the pm for drinks. I always enjoyed hanging out and chatting about whatever life issues we were dealing with at the moment, and aside from occasionally filling me in at times, if I asked about family history, or current issues, he was never one to brag about himself, or regale me with stories of his top flight career experiences. Although, he did enjoy sharing how impressed he was with Yul Brynner, as an actor and man, who was almost a surrogate father to Pat. He didn't need to brag, because it was his commitment to teaching Jazz dance and talent that spoke volumes, with his fierce and fluid expressive moves, always grounded, with arms fully extended when hitting those poses with definitive punctuation. I was shocked when I came across a clip I hadn't seen before, when I stumbled on his tap routine with Gene Kelly, I had to immediately pick up the phone and ask him why he never told me about that, because I only really knew him as a great Jazz teacher, who studied under Luigi in NYC way back when.
I'm extra sad because we hadn't communicated in a while, so I was unaware of any medical issue and didn't get to say goodbye. I'd been meaning to reach out to see how he was, and maybe chat about some choreo, to get his thoughts of that routine for Lady Gaga's Abracadabra, that went viral on the internet.
C'est la vie...Rest in Peace Patrick.
I'll always cherish the time I got to learn from you, whether in front of those floor to ceiling mirrors, no matter how strict you could be on hitting those beats fully extended with energy shooting to the ends of our fingertips, and of course it helped to be in a room full of women, with some great music to stimulate our expression and sensuality, as well as the time we spent simply sitting and drinking coffee on Main Street, or downing drinks at Billingsley's on Pico, while talking over life's issues.
See you on the other side my friend, with my Jazz shoes in hand, and ready to learn something new...5, 6, 7, 8.
Rest in Peace Pat, much love...you'll be missed.

I watched Patrick on television and loved to watch such a talented actor and dancer. We kind of grew up together.
