Patrick BOBBITT Obituary
In Montreal, October 29, 2014, helicopter pilot, Captain Patrick "Pat" Bobbitt, member of 438 squadron, lost his battle with cancer while surrounded by family. Beloved son of Norman Bobbitt and Merlyn Sheito. Loving father to Ryder. Dear brother to Suzanne. Patrick will be fondly remembered by many family members and friends. The family will receive family and friends at 1111 Laurier Ouest, Outremont on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. On Thursday, November 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Valet parking is available. The Funeral will be held at the St. Viateur Church, 1175 rue Laurier Ouest, Montreal (Outremont) on Thursday, November 6 at 10:00 a.m. A memorial donation in memory of Patrick can be made to the Montreal Neurological Institute, 514 398 1958.

Pat and I hung around in the latter years of high school. I remember going to his house at lunch or vise versa. He was an easy going guy, we got along well and always had a laugh. He was smart but didn't want to let people know that. In high school i was in air cadets and then the army, which intrigued Pat. We grew up and went our separate ways. He was one person I always wanted to meet up with. We became friends on a social media page and began talking, I learned he became ill. I had been wondering how he was doing and only today had found he had passed away. I truly miss him and wish his family, son, parents and all his loved ones the best. God bless.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Patrick worked for me at Shirley's Bay and he was a very dedicated, thoughtful person. I was always able to count on Pat to put forth that extra effort. When we worked together, I enjoyed talking to him and hearing about his weekend. He will be missed.

I was saddened to hear the news about Pat. Although we drifted apart in high school and further drifted afterwards, I always have fond childhood memories of Pat and I. From super soaker birthday parties with Pat and friends like Ben Beshara and Adam Blatherwick amongst others, to playing mini basketball and nintendo in your basement, to helping Norman with his campaign for Ottawa West (as best as 12 year olds could) to having Suzanne pick us up from Putman School because we missed the bus. I occasionally drive by 497 Roosevelt by chance and I reminisce of these times in my life.
I was lucky to have Pat as a friend as a child and my deepest condolences go out to you and to Pat's family.

Deeply saddened to hear the news of Pat's passing, as are my two sons and childhood friends of Pat, David and Dylan. And of course they remained friends. I didn't see much of Pat after the teenage years, but when we met the odd time, I always enjoyed chatting with him. Just a very, very nice guy!
