PATRICK ROWALLAN CASEY
July 13, 1925 – July 9, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Rowallan Casey. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Jean; his daughter Patricia (Fred) Pollock; their children Shawn (Alana) Pollock, Kelly Pollock, Karen (Gary) Scherle, Alison Pollock and Amy (Craig) Woolhether. His sons Philip (Debbie) Casey, their children Patrick (Natalie) and Matthew (Bree); Danny (Shauna) Casey, their children Ashlin, Emma and Sarah; and Kelly (Janine) his children Max and Jackson. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, his brother Russell, sister-in-law Joan Casey and numerous nieces and nephews. As well as Jean's family in England. Patrick was predeceased by his parents Ester and Allan, brothers Robert and Arnold and sister-in-law Olive Casey. Patrick grew up in Prince Albert, SK and at the age of 17 he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy as a coder. After the war he went and played professional hockey in Britain for 6 years. While he won numerous championships he always quipped that his best "trophy" was his English Bride Jean, his loving wife of 64 years. He returned to Prince Albert and later moved his family to Regina where he was a sales rep for Carling and Molson Brewery where he made many friends and created many fond memories. During retirement Patrick and Jean enjoyed travelling to Europe, Mexico and later Palm Springs where Calypso Palms became a second home and family. Dad was an avid sportsman enjoying golf, hockey, football, baseball, racquetball and curling. He belonged to the YMCA for over 50 years. We will miss his quick wit, positive attitude and beautiful smile. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Wascana Rehab 3-5 Veterans Ward for taking such good care of dad over the past year and a half. Your care and compassion truly made a difference. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patrick may be made to the Veterans Ward 3-5, Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, 2180 23rd Avenue, Regina, SK S4S 0A5. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Regina Rugby Club, 4025 25th Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A short program will start at 7:00 p.m. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com "May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rain fall soft upon your fields and, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand."

To the Casey family.

My deepest sympathy to you on the sad loss of Pat.

I really enjoyed my association with Pat during his days with Carling and Molson breweries and at the U of R. Pat was always so positive and interesting to visit with and talk to.

We also enjoyed sharing our stories and remembrances of Prince Albert and area.

What a great guy Pat was. I remember him from racket ball at the 'Y'. Late 60's early 70's. Just an all round good guy. Always had an kind and encouraging thing to say. I know he will be missed.

While your hearts are heavy, they are also full of the love Pat had for all of you. What a wonderful man - he will be missed by so many, but indeed his legacy of love for his family, friends and of course his passion for sports, will always live on
Much love
