Patrick Chaconas

Pat helped me in more ways than I can describe, both as a teenager working at La Pizzaria starting in 1974 on up to the time I began working for the county in 1981. He had more patience with me than anybody and I will always remember his kindness. I can still picture him with that thin brown cigarette hanging from his yap. My sincere condolences go out to the Chaconas family. He will be sorely missed by all that were very fortunate to ever know him.

Good bye my friend. Your energy will be missed along with your great sense of humor. But your memory will last forever....

I remember starting at La Pizzeria the fall of 75 washing dishes in the back. Pat was a great boss and a better man. Learned so much from him in those seven years working at La P.

Pat hired me for my first job in DC... waiting tables at his Crystal City restaurant. Still have fond memories of Pat, Pete, and the staff at that cafe in the early '70s. Kept a postcard! My condolences to the Chaconas family.

I will forever have fond memories of his kindness, generosity and love for all the children who grew up on Trail House Court. He will be truly missed.

I can't believe you hired all of us Buckley Boys to work at La Pizzeria. As my father said, you were a Good Man. God Bless you and your family
